1. Role of the Judge
Judges are responsible for keeping court RP fair, professional and organised. A Judge must remain neutral, review evidence, listen to both sides and make decisions that improve roleplay without damaging the server economy.
Listen to both sides before making a decision.
Stay neutral and avoid personal bias.
Review evidence before approving payouts or sentencing.
Keep court sessions respectful and controlled.
Make sure payouts match the damage caused.
Prevent fake, exaggerated or troll lawsuits.
Record court outcomes where required.
A Judge should never:
Rule in favour of friends without evidence.
Approve unrealistic payout amounts.
Use court power for revenge.
Ignore valid police, EMS or civilian evidence.
Rush major cases without hearing both sides.
2. Court Roles
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Judge | Final decision-maker in court. Approves or denies lawsuits, fines, warrants, compensation and legal outcomes. |

| Defendant | The person, business or department being sued. |
| Bailiff / Court Security | Keeps order in court and may remove disruptive people. |

3. Main Types of Court Cases

What happened?
Who is responsible?
What evidence proves it?
Was the damage real?
What payout is fair?
Does the decision damage the server economy?
Does the outcome create better RP?
7. Payout Calculation Formula
Final payout = Proven loss + Compensation + Penalty adjustment.
Proven loss: repair cost, stolen item value, business loss, medical bill, lost wages or contract amount.
Compensation: inconvenience, injury, embarrassment or RP impact.
Penalty adjustment: extra money if the defendant acted maliciously, corruptly, violently or repeatedly. Usually 10% to 50% of proven loss.

18. Final Judge Guidelines
A good Judge should be fair, firm and focused on RP. Court should create serious roleplay, not drama. Payouts should feel rewarding when someone is genuinely wronged, but they should never break the economy or encourage fake lawsuits.
Lower the payout instead of overpaying when unsure.
Ask for more evidence if needed.
Delay major cases for review instead of rushing.
Speak with senior government or staff for high payouts.
Choose the outcome that creates the best RP for everyone.
Court is about justice, fairness and better roleplay for Liquid Australia RP.
